Wonderforest Summer Camp is 8 fun-filled weeks of indoor and outdoor exploration, which allows for child led play and nature immersion. Throughout each week, classes will take 1 scheduled field trip to Prospect Park to explore, hike, and play. Other days we utilize nearby green areas and urban play spots like Pacific Park and its splash pad. While at the school, children will have opportunities for nature exploration and creation with loose parts, natural and found materials, gardening, and child-led PLAY in both our indoor grassy hill area and our messy play area. We use riding wagons with seats and safety harnesses to get the kids to and from the park. We head out to play in all weather, rain or shine. In the event of inclement weather, such as thunderstorms, high winds, air quality, or extreme heat, we will adjust the schedule to work around the weather patterns, or stay indoors for the day. New for Summer 2026, families will have the option to enroll for all 8 weeks or choose from a 4 week session (either the first 4 weeks or last 4 weeks of camp, see sessions below).
